Welcome to CAL Website

CAL – Centro de Arbitragem Laboral, the Labour Arbitration Centre – is the first institution in Mozambique designed to handle disputes in the field of labour law.
The centre has its own labour law team and labour relations experts, providing disclosure of labour legislation and mediation services in this important area of law.

The new labour law, which is expected to come into force in 2007, will make it permissible for parties to use arbitration as a means of settling labour law related disputes.

CAL believes that the best way to handle labour related disputes is to avoid them. This is why we place special emphasis on training staff in employment issues and on helping businesses and NGOs comply with the labour rules and requirements in Mozambique.
